My Testimony

I know that this church is true. I know that Christ came to Earth and lived a perfect life so that he could atone for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the Cross of Calvary so that we may live again. I know that through the atonement we can be made whole. No mistake is too big, no hole that we dig that we can't get out of. I am so grateful that we have a loving older brother who was willing to die for us so we can live again.

I have a testimony of the scriptures and that Joseph Smith truly saw God and Jesus Christ. I believe that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I know that reading the scriptures brings a peace into our life among the chaos. I know that prayer is how we talk to God and reading the scriptures is how He talks to us. I have had prayers answered by reading my scriptures. I know that they were written and translated for our day and age.

I have a testimony of prayer. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who is waiting to listen to us, He wants to hear about our days and is just waiting for us to turn to him. It doesn't matter what time of day it is He is always listening. I know that He cares about everything, from the biggest stories to the smallest feelings, He cares and wants to hear. I know that He always answers prayers, it's not always in the way we think or the answer we want, but He will never neglect us. Repentance is real. If we pray to Him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit and truly repent of what we've done He will forgive us. He is the most merciful Father. It is never too late to repent.

I know that families can be together forever through the sealing power in the temple. I am so grateful for my eternal family and wish that for everyone and can't wait until the day where I will be married for time and all eternity to start my own family. I am grateful that there is life after death. That I know I will see my loved ones again and will be able to be with them forever.
